The seven spheres of holistic homemaking/homesteading, when in harmony, make for a smooth functioning home environment.  They are:  wellness, simplicity, resilience, relationships, nature gardening, community care and rural renaissance.
All that has to do with holistic homemaking or homesteading can be tucked under one of these areas.
This is about an ever expanding life, not of more and more stuff, but of more and more aliveness, awareness, ability, connection, creativity, confidence and joyful exploration.
These seven spheres will be touched on in our newsletter PELE and delved into in other aspects of our NewLifeRoadMap business.

Life is ever evolving and it's no different for our personal lives.  We're meant to grow and change, gathering nectar from life's many flowers and bringing it home for the sweet honey of our own making.
That honey is our unique energy powerhouse that we gift to our world and our good earth.  No one else can make our honey and no one else can offer it to those ready for it.
Envisioning what's possible for ourselves, others and the earth is a great privilege given to us by Life itself.  Envisioning beauty, harmony and abundance takes so much less energy than all the negativity we habitually, unconsciously spew from our minds and surround ourselves with every day.
It's simply a matter of opening our eyes, noticing that we already ARE creative beings and allowing ourselves to use our creative power for our own healing and the healing of the planet.

Never underestimate  the power of one to change the world.

Earth and her life systems, including the system of humanity, are deeply stressed and in danger of unraveling.  It's time to stop waiting for the leader to appear who will save us and the planet, time to realize we're the leaders we've been waiting for, time to roll up our sleeves and get down to work.
First, we work for our own growth, clearing out the mental, emotional and physical rubbish that keep us from our greatest good and wellbeing.
Then when we're ready, we look around and see what we can do to bring more harmony and balance into our outer world.
The best place to begin is in the home.
That's why my business is called Holistic Homemaking:  Crafting a Resilient Home Economy.

Holistic, because we live on a planet of connection and interdependency.  The wellbeing of the whole is innately dependent upon all its parts, as are the parts upon their whole.  When one is nourished or harmed so is the other, for each carries the other within itself.
Homemaking, because creation and good management of a harmonious home takes an artist's eye and an organizer's skill.
Crafting, because the home is a haven for creative personal and business endeavors, making holistic homemaking truly a whole brain affair.
Resilient, because the quality of resilience is invaluable in withstanding the uncertainties of life.
Home, because a home is a small system within itself, needing all parts and members to function well for supporting the whole home environment.
Economy, because the home is the foundation for all economic systems.

Our bodies are our gardens, to the which our wills are gardeners.

   William Shakespeare

Hello!   I'm glad to see you drop in on my site.  I'm Celinda, a 72 year young granny with a message for those wishing to live a ripe, creative "out of the box" life...a life that's joyous, connected and free.  My passion is discovering life's growing edge for personal, community and earth's well-being.

We are  stardust, we are golden, and  we've got to get ourselves back to the garden.

            Joni Mitchell

With a bow to those reading this page who are not interested in homemaking, I'd like to say that all the subjects I write about as relevant for holistic homemaking are just as applicable for the holistic homestead, of which the home is a subsystem. Actually, they're the front and back doors into a nature realm of flow and potentiality.
If we think of the homestead as our home environs, then it doesn't matter whether it's an acreage in the country, a houselot in the suburbs or an apartment in the city, with "gardens" in jars on counters in the kitchen or in pots on the balcony.
So if you're not into homemaking, whether male or female, you may feel more comfortable with the name Holistic Homesteading:  Crafting a Resilient Home Economy.

Really, the principles are the same for both, as are many of the self-empowering, self-reliant skills.  Exchange Homesteading for Homemaking and you're good to go!
As for those men who really relish being househusbands, the rough and ready name for a homebody man who enjoys children's energy a lot, is an awesome chef and loves to create a great home for his more extroverted wife who can't wait to engage the workaday world "out there," this website is also for you.
It's time to honor the yin and yang in all of us, and the unique percentages of each we all express, create from and bring into this world.
Hopefully, whether male or female, extrovert or introvert, rural or urban, each of you who visit this site will find exactly what you've been looking for...a key piece of information, a vision or a skill...to adventure into a richly rewarding and awesomely unfolding life.

I see myself as a sower of seeds of imagination, information and ideas.  Out of these seeds, you can sprout your own gardens of many possibilities.

I've bounced through many places during my not so young life, gathering just as many seeds of differing ways for viewing the world and living life.
I've nurtured my seedling vision of how to live a juicily ripe and fruitful life that serves me, others and all life.  It's now ready to transplant into the field of growing our tiny 3/4 acre homestead, retreat and learning center.
What I've learned and continue to learn will be the basis for my mini-workshops, retreats, online mini-courses and informational offers.   My husband Larry is doing likewise for his half of NewLifeRoadMap, our online and homestead based business that's evolving into a renaissance adventure for self and life transformation.

Two essential aspects of our business is a willingness to think out of the box and the courage to explore new possibilities or solutions, even if contrary to common wisdom.
I'm growing these skills as fast as I can and the best way I know how, is to step into my business, take action and let everything unfold as it will.
Being a happy homemaker for all of my life, this is the fool's leap over the edge for me and I'm determined to fly!  Fortunately, Larry has 50 years of being an out of the box entrepreneur under his belt, so I have a great teacher.
We've decided we have a message to share with the world that only we can give.  Hopefully, it's a message you've been waiting for, just the ticket for your own bold leap into a life you wish to create in your own artful way.
